Award Winner of British Hairdressing Hall of Fame 2006/2007 Dark winter nights and dark winter mornings do very little to soothe our souls – I’m sure that’s why we spend so much time in winter decorating our houses with lights, and going out to parties to engage in some social cheer. Then we enter the New Year full of great intentions: the perfect time for a total makeover and an overall image change!

So what are your options? Play it Safe or Make it Radical?

Play it Safe

It’s so easy to adapt your look nowadays – one of the best ways to start is by looking at your hair – simply a different cut or a new colour can really work wonders and brighten up even the darkest winter day.

Working with your existing style, you don’t even need to go the whole hog. There are some incredible styling products available in this year which can totally transform your look from sophisticated to bohemian in as little as two minutes. My favourite new product, which works for men and women, is OSiS Dust It, a revolutionary texturising powder which uses loose particles to rough up the hair for a matt look & a light natural control. Make it Radical

Many salons offer very effective and relaxing non invasive techniques for example facials, which can be uplifting both physically and emotionally, however, with a bid to look ten years younger no firmly in our psyche, many more of us are considering some form of elective surgery as a means to updating our look.

Charlie’s Hints & Tips
