Classic Spring

This season there is no escaping from high maintenance hair and beauty. The tailored look is back in and, as fashion goes retro with hints of Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot and Mary Quant, hair takes on a level of styling that has not been seen for quite a while.

Gone are the tousled looks of last season. There's no more boho look to fall back on when we're having a 'not quite so good' hair day. Grab your can of Osis styling spray and get ready to primp and preen until your heart's content.

The bob is this year's key look. Easy to maintain, it doesn't have to be boring. The modern bob can create a dramatic look when combined with colour to make sure your hair always looks its best.

If you've got longer hair, you'll be grabbing the hair tools this year - ponytails and hair ups are back with a vengeance with a fervour that is reminiscent of the early 1950s Audrey Hepburn looks.

Sienna Miller was the first celebrity to make the statement from long layered look to modern day bob. If you opt for this season's key look, the Bob, make sure you keep your hair in good condition with a regular conditioning treatment. What really makes a bob work very well is the shine and gleam of the hair as it moves within the style so it is essential that you keep your hair in tip top condition if you want to keep turning heads. Also the colour will be more noticeable. The key colours for this approaching season are full on coppers with varying tones from lighter through to darker auburn shades at the back.

Make up will be a lot more involved than it has been in a long time.
